Angel spent from March 2008 until December 2012 in the Utah State prison system.1 After the incident were he attacked another inmate, which had its charges dropped with the plea bargain, his incarceration was pretty much standard.
During his 4 year stay at the Utah State Prison he was reported out of bounds a few times as well as had some contraband confiscated. All of his drug tests were negative and he was always allowed in the general population due to his risk assessment scores while locked up.
On the 14th of July 2009, Angel did have a radio found that he had put down his pants after being given it from another inmate. The radio was confiscated from him. This was after he had modified his high top shoes to create a natural compartment to hide things. It was discovered by the officers and he was told to return the shoes to their correct condition or they would be confiscated.
For the next two years Angel was on Parole and was being monitored by several different parole agents. He stays at a halfway house in Ogden from December 2012 to September 2013. At that time, he moves in with his brother in Provo, where he lives until he moves to draper and lives with some friends of his brothers. In mid-August 2013 to mid-September 2013 Angel lived with Kristin Allred.
The Allred’s knew Meagan and her family since Meagan was 3 years old. They agreed to have Angel live with them through contact with Angel’s brother Gustavo (Gus).
