Deputy Dutson picks up Seargent Wride at his home to take him to the office.  They talk about his new house and the fact that Seargent Wride is planning on retiring in six months.  Seargent Wride takes a couple of calls that day but works in the office most of the day.  That evening he takes his wife out on a ride along.

Meagan’s uncle James arrives late that night from St. George to help Meagan and Tori pack.  The family refers to him as Uncle Buck because his middle name is Buckley.  The plan is for Tori and Meagan to move down to St. George or Cedar City.  Meagan was supposed to have gotten her wisdom teeth pulled on January 31st.   They were hurting her pretty bad.  Tori her mother had called the dentist and they had given her some pain medication, but the medication was making her sick and she would throw up anytime she would eat, and it made her mouth hurt worse.   Angel then gave her some methamphetamine (meth).  The meth helped for a little while,  then she would get really ill again, and she would throw up and her mouth would hurt again. Angel has had several conversations with Meagan trying to convince her not to move with her mother Tori down to St. George or Cedar City.  Several times he had said, “I’ll get another job.  I’ll find a place for us.”  Meagan would respond with, “Like you don’t understand.  Like I can’t just leave my mom.  Like I need to  move with my mom.”  While they are packing Angel was there also packing up his stuff that was still at the Grunwald home.
